Educational Toolkit Now Available

The CREATE Educational Toolkit is a collection of materials based on the Educator’s Handbook designed to facilitate practice and learning of the skills covered in the Handbook. It is now public and available on this website under Project Results.

The learning materials are created with the purpose of training people in unlocking the potential of female entrepreneurship. The main vision is to create inclusive employment opportunities for women by making knowledge and learning material available for them to work on sustainable, zero-waste fashion “capsules”. The main output of the project – the Educator’s Handbook – was published in December 2022 and while finalising the second and final output – the Educational Toolkit – the learning material was put to use in different pilots by project partners, as also described on the project website. As most of the pilots have been concluded, the Educational Toolkit is now finalised and made publically available on the website along with all the material created and published by the project.

In particular, the Toolkit is divided by the sections of the Handbook, each section containing a guide document with an overview of the contents of the section (and, in some cases, its different parts). Additionally, the document contains suggestions for how to cover the material in the section, or how to divide parts over a number of training sessions. These elements are also available in editable format so any trainer or educator can download and model the Toolkit to fit their purposes for training groups based on their own experience.

The aim is to make it easier for trainers or educators to utilise the material for catalysing collaborations between designers (or aspiring designers) and other women on sustainable fashion as an empowerment and employment tool. This is the key objective of the CREATE project funded by the Erasmus+ fund of the EU. We hope you will find these learning materials useful either together as a set or each on their own. Any feedback or questions are welcome, so please do not hesitate to get in touch via the contact form on this website.
